The "Image of an Immigrant" is an organization whose mission it is to provide the immigrant community of America a voice to share their story through music. Our recital series honors different immigrant musical cultures and by doing so, promotes acceptance and understanding in our communities. We believe taking charge of the narrative is important to spread a positive image of immigrants in our communities and to give young immigrants positive role models. With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to express the beauty of an individual immigrant community which is in spotlight with each recital. Each recital series will focus on a new immigrant community and explore the beauty behind what makes them unique and discover what connects us all.
